lyrics
Overshadowed by those in flight,
is a halcyon that cannot fly.
Chop, chop, chop
did her perpetrators,
those golden wings, the wings
that defined the halcyon.
Not so fortunately,
they left her a soul,
a soul so bright-
caged for two long decades.
Live among the flock, live like the flock,
they preached.
All your fellow birds, you see,
are flightless.
Uniqueness is non-existent for birds of our flock!
they said.
Do not look towards the sky,
for that’s beyond your limits.
Little did they know,
she never belonged there.
Her innocence often urged to her,
“So what if unique isn’t present in my dictionary?
Extraordinary is!”
They laughed,
For they knew, she knew
that her wings were after all
in their custody;
that no matter how hard she tried,
she could never touch the azure,
could never be
what she was meant to be.
The terrible rage brewing in her soul,
her soul so bright,
smudged with charcoal.
The shine was gone,
she was now,
just an Autumn Halcyon.

Black Metal to interesting topics, it's very philosophical with always a part of violence and hate. Sick ambience, crude production, there is personality in the voice although there is no variations, even if this voracity is pleasant. To my taste, it's really sickly and weird. darkenedspirit (Midgard_OBM)
